Visceral and hypnotic, SKIN HUNGER explores the grounding force of tactile human experience – the sense of touch. The experience of touch is often intimate, private. In the work, the performer is brought close to the viewer through sound: the binaural soundscape created by sound designer Tuomas Norvio forms an immersive, three-dimensional environment, establishing a direct auditory connection to the bodies of six performers."

To ensure a full viewing experience, we recommend using headphones when watching the recording.

The work premiered as part of Dance House Helsinki’s SPARKS project on October 25, 2023, in the Erkko Hall. The project, supported by the Finnish Cultural Foundation, was carried out from 2020 to 2023.
