Introduction
A dazzling evening celebrating the artistry of Argentine tango music and dance marks the 25th anniversary of the award-winning Glims & Gloms.
Dedicated to the music of composer Astor Piazzolla, this evening brings a delightful fusion of Argentine tango and dance, featuring a 16-piece orchestra, a vocal soloist, and 7 dancers. Choreographed by Tuomo Railo, the performance blends the captivating dynamics of tango partner dance with the expressive depth of contemporary dance. The brilliant tango orchestra Guardia Nueva performs Piazzolla’s music under the direction of Raimo Vertainen, with Simo Heiskanen as the vocal soloist.
GLIMS & GLOMS was founded in 1999 by choreographers Simo Heiskanen and Tuomo Railo. This acclaimed theater company employs top professionals in the arts, particularly in dance. Glims & Gloms creates productions where comedy touches, humor surprises, and dance elevates.
The GUARDIA NUEVA orchestra is a success story from Central Ostrobothnia, captivating audiences in Finland, Turkey, and Argentina. Over the past decade, their repertoire has included both Argentine tango and Finnish popular music.

The seating in Erkko Hall offers excellent visibility, even from the side seats, as there are no significant visual obstructions. The steeply rising seating area ensures good sightlines, but please note that accessing the back rows requires climbing stairs, and there is no elevator to the seating area.
