Come and explore the world of dance and art with your child! Dance House Helsinki's first Children's Saturday offers programme for the whole family on Saturday 22 March from 10am to 2pm.

We invite you to experience the joy of dance and movement in different ways.

You can enjoy Treasure Hunter A., a performance suitable for all ages, or take part in free dance workshops, get to know and try out the theatre dummies, or search for treasures in the Dance House and enjoy a delicious brunch.

With a ticket you can also visit the neighbouring museums; the Museum of Photography, the Theatre Museum and the Hotel and Restaurant Museum.

PROGRAMME

TREASURE HUNT, 10:00-14:00, FREE

Go on an exciting treasure hunt around the Dance House! Can you find all the hidden treasures? Treasure maps and starting point: Dance House, Lobby.

PUPPET TREE, 10:00-14:00, FREE

The Theatre Museum's puppets have escaped from the museum! Come and try puppeteering under the guidance of theatre educator Milla Kortemaa and bring the puppets to life with your own imagination. What kind of dance could a puppet dance? Glass Courtyard

DANCE THEATRE RAATIKKO: TREASURE HUNTER A., 11:00 & 13:00

The adventure begins! Treasure hunter A. has lost his body and goes on a scouting mission to find his missing parts. Dance Theatre Raatikko's inclusive children's work is like a leap of good feeling and suitable for audiences of all ages. Children entering the performance must be accompanied by an adult. At 11.00 age recommendation: youngest members of the family
At 13.00 age recommendation: 3-8 years old

DANCE WORKSHOP, 11.15 & 11.45 & 12.45 & 13.45, FREE OF CHARGE

Discover the joy of movement under the guidance of dance artist Maria Kananen. The workshops are free of charge and can be booked in advance or by registering on the spot. There is capacity for about 20 children and their caregivers at a time. Duration about 20 minutes.

FAMILY BRUNCH AT TRABA, 10:00-14:00

Enjoy a hearty brunch at the atmospheric Traba! You can book a table in advance or come spontaneously. Access to Traba from the Glass Courtyard. See the menu and book a table in advance here. Price: 19,90€, children 4-12 years -50%. Children under 4 years free.

THE CABLE MUSEUMS, 11:00-14:00

Get to know the Cable Museums: the Hotel and Restaurant Museum reveals surprising details of artist Anu Tuominen's work. Which member of the family will be the first to complete the bingo line?

Free admission to the Museum of Photography, the Theatre Museum and the Hotel and Restaurant Museum for all children from 11am to 2pm and free admission for adults with a Treasure Hunter A. ticket. A joint ticket for adults to all museums at a special price of €18. Note: Museums open at 11 am.
