Tree of Codes is an eruption and soulful amalgamation bringing together choreographer Wayne McGregor, installation artist Olafur Eliasson and electronic composer Jamie xx to reinterpret Jonathan Safran Foer’s haunting experimental novella of the same name.
These blurred and disorientating worlds provide a powerful point of departure for each artist – a dance work within a multimedia sculpture, a light show projected on skin and a ballet set to a pounding club beat.
Artist discussion with Wayne McGregor after the performance on 12 Aug at 20.30–21 in the Erkko Hall. Discussion in English, led by Marko Ahtisaari, Artistic Director of Helsinki Festival.
The event is organised by Helsinki Festival.
