The Dance House Helsinki is Finland's first venue dedicated to dance performances and events, offering top-notch facilities for delivering a diverse year-round program aimed at a broad audience. The goal of the Dance House Helsinki is to increase interest in dance art and culture and to strengthen the position and appreciation of dance.

Lighting Manager for a Permanent Position

We are looking for a lighting manager to be responsible for the technical tasks at the Dance House, working in collaboration with the house's sound, lighting, and stage masters. Responsibilities include, among others, technical planning and execution of performances and events, supervision, equipment maintenance and servicing, as well as other technical work. The working hours are variable and include evening and weekend work.

We require appropriate education and several years of work experience with diverse performances and events. The job requires a responsible, independent, and flexible approach to work, as well as sufficient proficiency in both Finnish and English.

We emphasize the following skills and qualities in our search:

  • Strong expertise in lighting and video technology
  • Mastery of IP networks and presentation technology network protocols
  • Knowledge of stage mechanics and sound technology
  • Commitment to safe working practices in the event industry
